Transform Your Life: Mastering the MYB Lifestyle Categories with Stephanie, Ep 21

Welcome back to The Mind Your Business Mentor podcast, I'm your host and your Mentor, Stephanie Arkadie. Today's episode is all about mastering the MYB Lifestyle Categories. As a quick refresher, the MYB Lifestyle Categories are the twelve areas of life that we focus on to create a well-rounded, fulfilling life. They are Character & Personal Growth, Spiritual, Business & Entrepreneurship, Financial & Wealth, Love & Romance, Relationships (Family & Friends), Health & Fitness, Quality of Life (Environment and Experiences), Contribution, Intellectual, Emotional Intelligence, and Vision for Your Life.

In order to truly master the MYB Lifestyle Categories, it's important to understand each category and how they contribute to your overall well-being. Let's take a closer look at each category:

1. Character & Personal Growth - This category focuses on your personal development and becoming the best version of yourself.

2. Spiritual - This category focuses on your relationship with a higher power, whether it be through religion, meditation, or other practices, and the faith you find in it.

3. Business & Entrepreneurship - This category focuses on your journey as an Entrepreneur and building a successful business.

4. Financial & Wealth - This category focuses on your ability to manage the money you make, manage your cash flow process, how you save, how you invest, and structure.  To gain and use your financial literacy knowledge to build wealth and start a legacy.

5. Love & Romance - This category focuses on building and maintaining a healthy relationship with a romantic partner and evolve into a life partner.

6. Relationships (Family & Friends) - This category focuses on building and maintaining a supportive and encouraging relationship with those you love and care for.

7. Health & Fitness - This category focuses on your physical health, and wellness by setting realistic goals and developing healthy habits that can be maintained for a lifetime. Which would including exercising regularly, eating foods that benefit you, hydration,  meditating, regulating your thoughts and emotions and getting enough sleep.

8. Quality of Life (Environment and Experiences) - This category focuses on the quality of your daily experiences and the environment you surround yourself with.  Having an environment that speaks life and surrounding yourself with people who speak life into makes for extraordinary experiences.

9. Contribution - This category focuses on giving back to your community and making a positive impact in the world.  You are blessed to be a blessing through our work, time, and money.

10. Intellectual - This category focuses on expanding your knowledge and continuing to learn throughout your life about the thing that interests you, enhances you, and stimulates your intellect.

11. Emotional Intelligence - This category focuses on understanding and managing your emotions, as well as understanding and empathizing with others.

12. Vision for Your Life - This category focuses on creating a vision for your ideal life and taking the steps to make it a reality.By focusing on each of these categories and striving for balance in each area, you can create a truly fulfilling and well-rounded life.

Personally, I struggled for many years with neglecting certain categories of my life while focusing too much on others. For example, I would spend long hours at work and neglect my physical health, or I would neglect my relationships with friends and family while pursuing my career goals.  The quickest way to have an impact on this specific situation is to communicate, compromise and work on being inclusive.  But all you can do is make the effort on your behalf.  It takes two to make it work.  Be good with yourself no matter how it turns out, if they are meant to be in this season of your life,  it will work itself out.  In the meantime, keep working on your work and your relationship.  You won’t be in this season of tunnel vision forever.

It wasn't until I started to prioritize and balance each of the MYB Lifestyle Categories that I truly began to thrive. By focusing on each area and making small improvements in each category, I was able to create a more well-rounded, fulfilling life.  Later in other episodes we will dive into each category with tips, strategies, and suggested actions you should take to feel better about how you show up in that category and the fulfillment you receive as well.

So, my challenge to you is this: take a closer look at each of the MYB Lifestyle Categories and evaluate where you may be neglecting certain areas while focusing too much on others.
