The Confidence to Make Major Life Changes with MYB Lifestyle, Ep 18

Welcome back to another episode of The Mind Your Business Mentor podcast! I'm your host, Stephanie Arkadie, and today we're talking about the confidence needed to make major life changes. Whether it's starting a new business, working toward a balance between life and work, or re-inventing yourself, taking that first step can be scary. I am here to help, you can build the confidence you need to make those major changes and live the life you want to desperately live.

At MYB Lifestyle, we believe that confidence is key to success. It's the foundation that allows you to take risks, make bold moves, and push through challenges. But how do you build that confidence? We just talked about this in Episodes 15, 16, and 17 which spoke from an Entrepreneur's point of view. We are going to look at the full picture through the lens of the MYB Lifestyle Categories.

As many of you know, MYB Lifestyle is all about creating a life that aligns with your values, passions, and goals. To live a lifestyle of intention. To live a lifestyle of fulfillment and that will leave a legacy. MYB Lifestyle Categories are the key areas that we focus on to create a balanced and fulfilling life. These categories include Character & Personal Growth, Spiritual, Business & Entrepreneurship, Financial & Wealth, Love & Romance, Relationships (Family & Friends), Health & Fitness, Quality of Life (Environment and Experiences), Contribution, Intellectual, Emotional Intelligence, and Vision for Your Life.

How do you actually make major life changes in these areas? This is where The Five D Philosophy comes in. The first D is Decide, which is all about making a commitment to yourself and your goals. The second D is Discover, which is about identifying your strengths, passions, and values. The third D is Develop, which is about building a plan, building the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. The fourth D is Deliver, which is about taking action and implementing your plans. And finally, the fifth D is Dominate, which is about achieving self-mastery and dominating everything you touch.

But here's the thing: all of these steps require confidence. Confidence in yourself, your abilities, and your vision for your life. Without confidence, it's easy to get stuck in fear, doubt, and indecision. Confidence gives you the courage to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from your failures. It also gives you the resilience to keep going when things get tough.

Health & Fitness: Building confidence in this area starts with setting achievable goals for yourself and then consistently working towards them. Celebrate your small wins along the way and remember to be kind to yourself. Focus on your progress, not perfection.

Relationships (Family & Friends): Building confidence in your relationships starts with being honest with yourself and setting boundaries that prioritize your own needs and well-being. Communicate your boundaries clearly and don't be afraid to say no when necessary. Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you.

Emotional Intelligence: Building confidence in this area starts with developing self-awareness and being able to recognize your own emotions and triggers. Practice mindfulness and be intentional about your self-care routines. Seek out therapy or counseling if necessary to work through any emotional blockages.

Remember, building confidence takes time and effort, but it is worth it in the end. Focus on progress, not perfection, and celebrate your wins along the way.
